Today please allow me to introduce some fatal factors when you use your winch.

A winch is a small and light lifting device that uses a drum to wind a steel wire rope or chain to lift or tow heavy objects, also known as a winch. The winch can lift heavy objects vertically, horizontally or tilted. There are three types of winches: manual winches, electric winches and hydraulic winches. Mainly electric winches. It can be used alone or as a component of machineries such as lifting, road construction and mine hoisting. It is widely used because of its simple operation, large rope winding volume and convenient displacement. Mainly used in construction, water conservancy projects, forestry, mines, docks, etc. for material lifting or flat towing.

1. The wire ropes on the reel should be arranged neatly. If they are overlapped or slanted, they should be stopped and rearranged. It is strictly forbidden to pull and step on the wire rope with hands or feet during rotation. The wire rope is not allowed to be fully released, and at least three turns should be retained.

2. The wire rope is not allowed to be knotted or twisted. If the wire is broken more than 10% within a pitch, it should be replaced.

3. During the operation, no one is allowed to cross the wire rope, and the operator is not allowed to leave the winch after the object (object) is lifted. Objects or cages should be lowered to the ground during rest.

4. During the operation, the driver and signalman should maintain good visibility with the winched object, and the driver and signalman should cooperate closely and obey the unified command of the signal.

5. In case of a power outage during operation, the power supply should be cut off and the lift should be lowered to the ground.

6. Obey the signal of the commander during work, the signal is unknown or may cause an accident

The operation should be suspended when the situation is clear, and the operation can be continued after the situation is clarified.

7. If there is a sudden power failure during operation, the knife should be opened immediately and the transported objects should be put down.

8. After the operation is completed, the material tray should be dropped to the ground and the electric box should be closed and locked.

9. The steel wire rope is in use and mechanically abraded. Local damage due to spontaneous combustion is inevitable. Protective oil should be painted at intervals.

10. Overload use is strictly prohibited. That is, the maximum carrying tonnage is exceeded.

11. Be careful not to get knotted, flattened, injured by arc, or corroded by chemical media during use.

12. Do not directly winch high-temperature objects, and protect the objects with edges and corners.

13. The steel wire rope used should be checked frequently during use, and it should be scrapped immediately if it reaches the scrap standard.

The scrap standard of winch wire rope

The steel wire rope used by the winch, including phosphating coated steel wire rope, galvanized steel wire rope and smooth steel wire rope

1. Diameter reduction;

Diameter wear that exceeds 40% should be scrapped, and the coefficient should be reduced if it does not exceed 40%.

2. Surface corrosion;

When the surface corrosion of the entire wire rope is obvious to the naked eye, the wire rope cannot be used.

3. Structural damage;

The whole strand of the steel wire rope should be scrapped, and the steel wire rope with broken wires should be used with a lower coefficient.

4. Overload;

The wire rope used for overload shall not be used.
